Mom and Dad (Gma and Gpa) S Left for Haiti Today!

Armed with bags full of clothes, diapers, toys, children's vitamins, children's aspirin, hair ties, baby shampoo, etc, etc, etc, they left for Seattle at 10:00 am. Their flight was scheduled to leave this afternoon. They get to meet Trey Amos tomorrow!! Get ready for lots of pictures!

Mom and Dad S will be at GLA volunteering for the next two weeks. The volunteer schedule is very busy. They will be up early to help the nannies with breakfast and diaper changes etc. Then, beginning at 8:00 am every day, they spend one hour of individual time with each of the babies on their "caseloads." They can work on gross motor milestones such as sitting or crawling. They can read books with the babies, play with toys with them, show them pictures of their adoptive families, and generally work on any kind of stimulating activities that will help their physical, mental, or social development. They are so excited!
